Immigration Justice
August 27 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm EDT
To help our community understand changing landscape of immigration policy the Westborough Democratic Town Committee and Westborough Indivisible are pleased to sponsor a community forum on Immigration Justice on Thursday, August 27, from 7-8:30 pm in person at the Willows Retirement Community (1 Lyman St, Westborough) or by Zoom (link will be sent upon registration) Two outstanding speakers will make presentations on the current immigration policy and its impact on Westborough and surrounding communities: Randy Feldman the chair of the Worcester Human Rights Commission and a longtime immigration attorney; Amy Grunder, attorney and Director of State Government Affairs for the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition.
A core principle behind all Indivisible and coalition partner events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
