Juneteenth Celebration in Acton

and on the grounds of Acton Memorial Library
The theme is Black Art as a form of resistance, storytelling, and cultural preservation. Keynote Speaker is Adam Clayton Powell IV, Professor of Engineering at WPI and grandson of activist, pianist, and performer, Hazel Scott. Also featuring African Drumming on the lawn of the library and Spoken Word Poetry.
Hosted by Acton Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission (DEIC), Acton’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Acton Memorial Library in partnership with Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Black Student Union, and Acton Congregational Church.
