A ballot initiative we support to reform the corrupting stipend system in the MA legislature will appear on the November 2026 ballot. Our unique stipend system—by which our elected representatives are beholden to leadership for a significant portion of their pay—cements the stranglehold those leaders maintain on all legislation in the Commonwealth. This dynamic has helped create a major obstacle to accountability and the least effective and transparent legislature in the US. PDM wants MA voters to weigh in on this important reform.
Our panelists will be Jonathan Hecht, a PDM leader who served as Watertown’s State Representative from 2009 to 2020 and Brian Muldoon, an accomplished organizer, who is leading the newly formed Legislative Effectiveness and Accountability Project (LEAP) to support the ballot question. They will explain the significance of stipend reform, the campaign to get the question on the ballot and how you can help. To move the campaign forward, PDM needs your assistance to gather 100,000 signatures supporting the initiative, between September and November of this fall.

We’ll be knocking doors and canvassing in support of three of our local candidates:

We’ll be meeting at the Attleboro Smokestack at 11am to kick the event off, discuss talking points, and disperse campaign literature.

In solidarity with our besieged friends and fellow countrypeople in the amazing city of DC, I plan to stand out with the Groton First Saturday protesters this Saturday morning from 10 to noon , then come back to Littleton and stand out in the Common until 2 pm, or the rain washes me away.
Anyone who would like to join me in Littleton, join me on the Common around 1.
Extra credit for bringing one or more signs that proclaim freedom from being occupied by our own army.

We need to keep going! We are a group that has been meeting since 2017. Our meetings includes discussion of current events, plans and an Indivisible recommended action. Our next meeting is coming up and we hope that you are able to attend. We love meeting new people.
As usual we’ll follow the meeting with a social pizza/pot luck hour. No worries about bringing something. We always have a lot of food!

Join Harvard students in their push to show Harvard University that the Harvard community, and greater Boston community, stand united. At the “United We Stand” event, speakers will push Harvard to stand strong and not settle. Our stance is simple: folding now will only serve to embolden an increasingly authoritarian federal government and set a dangerous precedent for other universities, civil society, and our country.
This will not just be a rally – this will also serve as community action. Harvard students will have the chance to make their voices heard by submitting notes to SFF’s comment box. Each student will have the opportunity to write a note to President Garber about why they believe Harvard should not make a deal with the Trump administration.
These notes will be delivered to President Garber’s office to show that the Harvard community stands united against the Trump administration’s anti-American attacks on our university.
Paper, writing utensils, and envelopes will be available at the event for students to contribute to. Students are also welcome to bring pre-written notes.

At the Melrose annual Victorian Fair on Sun, Sept 7th, from 11a – 4p, we’ll have a table with flyers, a sign-up sheet, talking heads (including yours?), songs, and a raffle for copies of the US Constitution. You can register here to sit at the table for an hour, letting friends and neighbors know how Indivisible in Melrose, Wakefield & Beyond will help them rise in strategic response to this regime. The Victorian Fair is a 44 year old Melrose popular tradition of celebrating community with entertainment, food, nonprofit groups, and local businesses.

Bystander training for an Immigration and Customs Endorsement (ICE) encounter will empower individuals to understand their legal rights as bystanders and what they can do to support affected community members. Training participants will gain increased awareness and practical strategies for how to respond in the situation.
Doors at 6:45 pm. Come early to sign in, get a snack, and meet the event organizers and other attendees!
Training starts at 7:00 pm. Led by Somerville Indivisible’s Elaine Almquist and supported by MMI partners (to be announced).
This a local Indivisible event sponsored by Mystic Mashup Indivisible (MMI).
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
