Honk & Wave Standout for Democracy: Valentine Special, Love Your Neighbor

February 14 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm EST

Please join our peaceful protest! Let’s line Washington St and stand for our immigrant neighbors and all who are impacted by ICE/DHS/Border Patrol cruelty. We know that ICE doesn’t make our communities safer and that LOVE unites us all.

It’s also Valentine’s Day, so we will mix some love songs into the playlist and have treats to keep us going. We are asking that you please wear red if you are so inclined.

Grab your sign and a friend or two, and come on down to Riley Plaza each Saturday for our Weekly Standout Rallies. Signs provided if you need one. Come join us as we protest the atrocities of current administration, and build community together to work for a positive Democratic future.

Check us out at salem’scall.com for up-to-date listings of our calendar of events and actions. We hope to see you soon!

Tell Target to Break-Up with ICE: Amherst

February 11 @ 3:00 pm 5:00 pm EST

This Valentine’s Day, Break Up with ICE

Across the country, our communities are under attack. ICE continues to tear families apart — and politicians and corporations like Target are enabling it.

Target has deep roots in Minnesota and enormous influence nationwide. By refusing ICE access and collaboration, Target could choose to stand on the right side of history. Instead, they are currently enabling harm.

This Valentine’s season, we’re asking you to show your love for your neighbors by taking action.

On Wednesday, February 11, SURJ members and partners across the country will take part in Valentine’s Day–themed, nonviolent actions at Target stores to demand that Target break up with ICE — refuse ICE access, stop collaborating, and stop enabling repression in our communities. Our goal is to create a joyful, visible, and disruptive action that calls on Target to take a clear stand against ICE.

This action is rooted in nonviolence, collective care, and solidarity — and you’ll be joining a nationwide movement pushing Target to choose people over oppression.
