De-ICE Hanscom Friday Standouts

January 23 @ 1:30 pm 2:30 pm EST

New, shorter winter timeframe! This weekly afternoon standout is on Fridays from 1:30 to 2:30 at the Hanscom Rotary (intersection of Hanscom Dr. and Old Bedford Rd. in Lincoln, MA.) Please park along Old Bedford Road or Hanscom Drive without impeding traffic or blocking bike lanes.

De-ICE Hanscom is a coalition organizing peaceful standouts with the goal of eliminating ICE transport flights from Hanscom Field. ICE is using these flights to swiftly move immigrants out of New England in order to hinder effective legal representation.

Coalition groups include Boston Workers Circle, Concord Indivisible, Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN), Indivisible Acton Area, Jewish Alliance for Law & Social Action (JALSA), Lexington Alarm, and Maynard Indivisible.

Sign up to get information and updates about our weekly standouts. We’ll keep you in the loop if we need to reschedule or cancel for weather or other considerations, and apprise you of our goals and progress.

Hands Off Greenland/ ICE Out of our Communities

March 7 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm EST

Trump is waging war and committing murder to enrich his billionaire backers. We are fighting to stop him. Stand with us and take action this weekend to demand an end to the occupation of Greenland, Ukraine and our cities.

We’re focusing on corporate targets – companies set to benefit most from the occupation of ICE or Greenland.

We stand united demanding an end to the Greenland occupation and the removal of reckless untrained ICE agents from our communities. And we’re taking our fight to the companies that are backing this administration and benefiting most.

Together we will hit these companies in their pocketbooks, force the administration to end the occupation of Greenland our cities and spread the word to our neighbors that we deserve better.

Every dollar spent in wars overseas or at home is a dollar we paid for with our taxes – a dollar that could and should go to helping our communities thrive. We can have good jobs, better schools, access to healthcare and get our basic needs met. But not while our government works for billionaires and not for us.

Join us, stand strong and speak up.

Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events

Why Escadrille?

The owner of Café Escadrille, Robert Murray, also owns the ICE Prison/Field Office at 1000 District Ave.

He has been silent on the abuses in his building, and has not aided the Town’s efforts to inspect for zoning & safety violations. We’ll keep visiting his restaurant until he’s ready to face the conversation.

For documentation and additional details on Murray’s involvement, check out our documentation page.

Postcard Party

January 20 @ 9:00 am 11:00 am EST

Send hand-written postcards to voters in states that will play a key role in taking back Congress and in electing leaders who will fight back against the current authoritarian regime. Postcards educate voters, urge them to register to vote, and urge them to vote for specific candidates in special elections, primaries, and the November 2026 mid-term elections. Hand-written postcards have been proven in multiple studies to boost turnout enough to swing elections. Each packet of 15 postcards has everything you need, and costs $10 to cover stamps and cards for those who can afford it.

It’s more fun to write together, but if you can’t stay, you can also stop by and pick up postcards to write at home.

Fitchburg MA Free America Walkout

January 20 @ 2:00 pm 3:30 pm EST

One year into Trump’s second regime, we face an escalating fascist threat: raids on our communities, troops occupying our cities, attacks on immigrants, families torn apart, mass surveillance, and terror used to keep us silent. It is time for our communities to escalate as well.

2025 was a year of marches that showed our collective strength. And as the threats grow, our movement must evolve and escalate. Trump and his allies have already made clear that a second term would bring a deeper wave of misogyny, racism, xenophobia, and violence than the first.

On January 20th, we call on our communities to organize teams, call your neighbors and classmates, and turn your back and walk out on fascism. Host mutual aid planning meetings, organize public service, but walk out to block the normal routines of power, and make the stakes real. This is a protest and a promise. In the face of fascism, we will be ungovernable.

★ We walk away from fascism. ★

★ We walk towards a Free America. ★

★ We fight for a future that belongs to us all. ★

★ Everybody in, nobody out. ★

★ Welcome to the Free America Walkout ★

LOCAL EVENT NOTE: We are committed to peaceful activism. PLEASE adhere to the following during demonstrations: Please stay on sidewalks. Do not impede pedestrian or vehicle traffic. Please do not allow flags, etc. to hang into the street. PLEASE do not engage with agitators or counter-protestors – do not boo or yell. “We need to keep traffic moving” or “Thank you, have a nice day” are good responses. None of us want to be the reason that martial law is invoked. And, of course, no weapons of any kind, please.

WE WELCOME YOUR SIGNS, FLAGS, AND NOISEMAKERS. BRING A CHAIR IF NEEDED! WE ASK THAT YOU STAY ON THE JOHN FITCH PLAZA SIDE OF THE STREET. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER AND SEE YOU SOON!

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
