Get ICE out of Home Depot Natick

December 20, 2025 @ 1:00 pm 2:00 pm EST

Standing out Home Depot Natick entrance sending a clear message to stop allowing ICE raids on their property and to boycott shopping there!

All over the country, ICE agents are targeting immigrants in and around Home Depot, and these atrocities are happening on Home Depot’s watch, on its properties, with its silence.

The Home Depot has not publicly resisted or condemned these raids or demanded that the Administration stop assaulting and abducting people on and outside its properties. With its silence and inaction, Home Depot has become ICE’s passive partner.

In order to show up for immigrant community members and defeat authoritarianism, we must engage in the dual strategy of electing people who will stand up to Trump, and engaging in noncooperation (also known as civil resistance). Movements with no civil resistance actions, stopping democratic backsliding only happens 7.5% of the time. With a civil resistance added to the movement, that percentage goes up to 51.7%!

In addition to this, we need to run civil resistance campaigns that hit the power holders where it hurts! When we do symbolic actions like one day protests and vigils, which are useful in their own way, power holders can easily ignore them. When we engage in actions that cost money like a boycott, cost elected leaders their seats, or stop business as usual, they are far more likely to respond. So we engage in noncooperation because we must impose real and tangible costs to powerholders’ bottom-lines!

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

What’s the Plan

Virtual Event

January 8 @ 3:00 pm 4:00 pm EST

The chaos out of the White House is meant to overwhelm us. Our antidote is community. Join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin every Thursday to break down the week’s biggest political stories, answer your questions, and map out strategies for taking action.

This is people-powered politics in real time. Questions can be submitted via the Q&A function during the live event.

Real talk. Real people. Real action. That’s the plan.

Defend Democracy-Standout and Food Drive

December 20, 2025 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm EST

This a local Indivisible event! Hosted by Westborough Indivisible

Join us Saturdays 11am-12 to Stand Out with your signs of protest and support. We are a small and mighty group that gains new activists each week. Our high visibility location is very impactful and fulfilling. Meet fellow patriots to join your voices in Solidarity.

We are a group of concerned Massachusetts citizens who live in Westborough and surrounding towns. Westborough Indivisible is comprised of pro-democracy Massachusetts citizens. We are a registered Indivisible group. Our mission is to build community and create the opportunity to organize collective actions to speak out and affect change as we face the growing risks of:

Rising authoritarianism
Erosion of civil liberties
The worsening economy
Free and fair elections

Attendee feedback: “It was great seeing new people joining our weekly protest today, including all ages, including kids. We are fighting authoritarianism with next to no help from the courts or Congress. So we need to keep appearing and protesting while our resistance movement coalesces. We hold the power! Remember Navalny” Doug C.

Winter is hard for us all. Layers on layers, gloves, double socks, snow boots, hats with ear flaps and a warm heart are necessary. Icy conditions are a serious heads up. Use your judgement.

WE ARE COLLECTING DONATIONS FOR THE WESTBOROUGH FOOD PANTRY AND WESTBOROUGH PET FOOD PANTRY. Please look for the donation boxes in the center of the rotary by the monument.

It’s best to park at Bay State Commons, 600 Union Street, and walk about 2 blocks to Main Street and the rotary. Please try to leave the parking spots closest to the Commons’ businesses open for business patrons. For people with mobility challenges, there is limited parking on Main Street on a first come, first served basis. Here are some important ground rules. We cannot disrupt traffic. Please stay out of the street, and always use crosswalks. This is a peaceful protest. If someone becomes aggressive towards one of us, we should all be ready to de-escalate the situation (don’t respond to the aggressor, walk away, find a volunteer with a reflecting vest or a Westborough Police Officer). Please look out for each other. We have been in contact with the Westborough Police, and they fully support our right to PEACEFULLY protest.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Truth Brigade Training

January 26 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm EST

Professional mediator Vanessa Linsey headlines Indivisible Winchester’s speaker series with a lively, interactive communication workshop. In this 90-minute session inspired by Indivisible’s “Truth Brigade,” attendees will learn positive approaches to political conversation at a time of unprecedented polarization and disinformation.

Attendees will understand how to recognize disinformation, when to engage (and when NOT to), and what they can do to change the dynamic through truthful, firm, and friendly conversation tactics. Attendees may role-play de-escalation, practice finding common ground, focus on fact sharing, experiment with “stop and think” questions, and try drafting social media comments. Staying composed during rapid response moments is easier said than done, and this hands-on session will prepare attendees to communicate effectively and positively.

About the presenter: Vanessa is a Cornell-trained family mediator who has logged many thousands of hours facilitating interpersonal conflict. Her engaging communication workshops feature mindfulness-based approaches to mutual understanding. Vanessa is a mother of several and author of a prescriptive memoir on mindfulness.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend, and cancel your RSVP if your plans change. Since this is an interactive workshop, we need to be sure that we are not under or over subscribed. Confirmations will be required before the event. We really appreciate your understanding.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Support Carlos Zapata Rivera

December 18, 2025 @ 9:30 am 11:00 am EST

Carlos Zapata Rivera, the man who was violently arrested in Fitchburg with his baby in the car Nov 6, has a check-in appointment at the ICE office at 10AM tomorrow. With the help of the ACLU, he is suing ICE. The ACLU has reached out and asked if we could be there early. We will be there and set up at 9:30AM. He will go in for his appointment. We will likely carry on with our program (time uncertain) – but break immediately if we hear resolution. Of course, we have no idea when that may happen, so we will have to play it by ear. If you cannot make it early, we understand, we will still be there at 11AM. Link to the original story. ACLU press release.
