Indivisible Mass Coalition is holding trainings on Nov 9 and Nov 10!
A great article on the One Million Rising actions being taken!
After the Joy and Power of No Kings Day, What’s Next? As Leah Greenberg says in this New Republic interview, “Protests are tactics, not strategy.” They serve an important function to achieve our goals, but in order to be successful they must be just one of many tactics employed. So what’s next is all about strategy — and what you can do — not what Indivisible, or Dems, or any other organization can do to save us!
National Indivisible has been training activists since 2017, and with the stakes higher than ever, Indivisble launched One Million Rising this past summer. What’s next starts with you and ends with your sustained participation. What’s next is not reaching a magical number at a future protest. What’s next may not be comfortable or easy, but it’s not rocket science either.
Using the research and training of One Million Rising, it’s time for each of us to become our own organizer. It’s do-it-yourself activism — self-directed planning and driving your own campaign of resistance rooted in your own experiences. See the recording of Indivisible’s call for Courage Collectives HERE.
Then, sign up for an IMC training call to learn how. The trainings will review the basics of One Million Rising and provide activists of all experience levels with a framework to plan their own pillars-based resistance campaigns.
Please join Make Hunger History, the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, and anti-hunger advocates from across the state on Tuesday, October 28, from 12:00–12:45 p.m., on the steps of the State House (Beacon Street, Boston).
We’ll rally and hold a press event in response to the ongoing federal shutdown and its devastating impacts on SNAP and other federal nutrition programs. Please arrive at noon; the speaking program begins at 12:15.
If the situation remains unchanged, SNAP recipients will not receive their November benefits on time. This would be the first time in history that the federal government failed to issue SNAP benefits during a shutdown. The federal government must act immediately to ensure that these benefits aren’t interrupted, and if it fails to do so, the State must step in to fill the gap so Massachusetts residents can afford to feed their families.
SNAP helps 1 in 6 Massachusetts residents put food on the table, while providing 9 meals for every meal provided by a food bank. Every month, SNAP households spend about $210 million in benefits—$1 of every $5 spent at local grocery stores and farmers’ markets.
Please join Act On Mass for an Autumn Brunch & Fundraiser at the home of AOM Board Member Sean McFarland in Dorchester Center. In addition to good food and company, you will be funding the work of AOM for transparency and good government in Massachusetts. If you can’t make it but would like to donate, you can donate here.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent tactics. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

While extremists tried to brand No Kings as “Hate America Rallies”-–they couldn’t have been more wrong. Flags were flying and peaceful messages of love and patriotism were the theme of the day. Much to the dismay of those trying to tear us apart, the real power in this country is citizens coming together. Join historian and author Heather Cox Richardson as we talk about how Americans can take back patriotism in this moment–including by voting and getting our friends to vote in the elections happening nationwide on Tuesday, November 4th. Each of us has the power to spark change in our communities, and this is a celebration of what we can do when we join together!
HANDS OFF BEVERLY has been standing up against Trump & Co. policies, executive orders, cruelty and general lawlessness every Saturday since February 2025.
There are plenty of signs and cowbells to borrow and the music by our DJ Jim is excellent. We typically give away 10 yard signs on a first come, first serve basis as long as you promise to display them prominently in your yard or window and send us a picture. You can see many on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/3875181849412135. And of course we have bubbles and stickers. We are all coming together because we are frustrated and angry but during our protests we are joyful and are enjoying each other’s company. The typical crowd size is between 130 and 200. Come and join us! It will make you feel better!
