May Day: Our Next Collective Action

Indivisible, as part of the the Pro-Democracy Coalition, has announced May Day as our next collective action. It will differ from No Kings III as a specific celebration of workers and families over billionaires.  From Ezra Levin “We’re flexing our economic power on May 1, sending a message to Trump and his oligarch enablers: We refuse to do business as usual as you trample our rights, terrorize our communities, and conduct your war. Led by May Day Strong, this will be a day of mass refusal to engage with the American economic engine…” You can find the many coalition members and more information at MayDayStrong.org

Across the Country We are Standing Up AND Demanding:

  • Tax the rich so our families, not their fortunes, come first.
  • ICE Out. No private army serving authoritarian power.
  • Hands Off Our Vote. Defend free and fair elections not a rigged disaster.

It’s up to us to organize and act together.

On May 1st We Pledge: No Work, No School, No Shopping. Can you do one or more?

On January 23rd, 2026 Minnesota held the first day of No Work No School No Shopping, with more than 1,000 local businesses closing in solidarity. Those businesses closed

  • Because customers asked them to close.
  • Because employees asked them to close.
  • Because they were already organized as 4th amendment businesses and in opposition to ICE.

Movement Call: National Day of Action to Stop ICE Warehouse Detention

Virtual Event

April 14 @ 8:00 pm 9:00 pm EDT

The Trump administration is converting warehouses across the country into mass detention facilities — and communities are already fighting back. Join Indivisible, Detention Watch Network, Disappeared in America, and other partners on April 14th for a one-hour national training call where you will learn the tactics and strategies to host actions in defense of immigrants in your community. On April 25th , we’re coming together for the Communities Not Cages National Day of Action to show up in defense of immigrants through hosting non-violent and peaceful local actions. That day is our first step, and we’re going to make sure you’re ready.

This call is for everyone, including if you live near an existing or proposed site. On this call, you will:

-Hear directly from organizers at a frontline site fight about what they’re planning.

-Get an overview and resources so you can host a safe, effective event in your community.

-Register your actions live on Mobilize, with step-by-step support.

There’s a role for everyone, whether you’re in a community with a proposed warehouse facility or not. We’ll make sure you leave with everything you need to take action on April 25th and beyond.
