Support your neighbors and community by joining us in Medford for an educational training on how to be a peaceful bystander.
Bystander Training for an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) encounter will empower individuals to understand their legal rights as bystanders and what they can do to support affected community members. Training participants will gain increased awareness and practical strategies for how to respond in such situations.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Come early to sign in, get a snack, and meet the event organizers and other attendees! Training starts at 7:00 p.m. Please bring a nonperishable food item as an entry donation to the event.
Developed and led by Somerville Indivisible’s Elaine Almquist and supported by MMI’s coalition partners.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Join us for our September meeting. Jonathan Cohn, Political Director at Progressive Mass, will be addressing the latest in state plans to protect immigrants, especially in light of the recent Supreme Court decision that clears the way for racial profiling during immigration raids and sweeps. This would give the green light for roving patrols for snatching people off streets and questioning them based on how they look, what language they speak, what work they do or even where they happen to be.He will also inform us on ways in which the state can fund some crucial programs that have suffered large cuts in funding from the federal government. He will provide us with actions we can take in regard to these crucial matters.
Also, several of our general members will tell you about some special projects they are working on and will invite your help with. We look forward to seeing you Saturday! In solidarity, March Forward Quincy Indivisible

Join Mystic Mashup Indivisible (MMI) at the Medford library for a letter writing event! We will write letters to voters who may not otherwise be motivated to vote in the important Pennsylvania Supreme Court Race.
We’ll be using Vote Forward’s proven methods to compose letters to voters that have been chosen as likely to feel disengaged. Vote Forward provides their names and addresses and a letter template. To see samples of letters, go to votefewd.org.
Get involved and meet like-minded people who care about voting results.
A short training begins at 2:00 pm. This event runs rom 2:00 to 4:15 and you can drop by during these times.

We will be hosting a peaceful sit in protest in Boston City Hall on RFK’s birthday, November 20th, in opposition to his son RFK Jr.’s actions as Secretary of Health & Human Services. This will be a peaceful, nonviolent gathering to draw attention to RFK Jr.’s restructuring, budget cuts, and spread of misinformation on vaccines.
We will be meeting around 9am and plan to stay until around 12pm. We are flexible, however, and open to suggestions about practicalities from anyone familiar with downtown Boston. We will bring poster board and markers for those interested in drawing signs though all are encouraged to bring their own.
