Rooted and Rising: Fundraiser for LUCE

Hybrid Event

February 1 @ 2:30 pm 3:30 pm EST

Join First Parish Cambridge for a benefit for the LUCE statewide Rapid Response Hotline and anchor organization, Neighbor to Neighbor.

LUCE is a multilingual, immigrant-led project that responds to immigration enforcement, trains community members to verify and document ICE activity, and mobilizes support so our neighbors are not isolated in moments of crisis. Neighbor to Neighbor builds power in Black, brown, immigrant and working-class communities across Massachusetts to protect and strengthen our democracy. Your contribution will directly sustain the LUCE hotline’s rapid response, volunteer training, and organizing that defends immigrant communities while building long-term power across Massachusetts.

The event will be open to the community and live-streamed on Zoom.

We hope you’ll join us for a reception afterwards in the parlor.

We’re honored for the Lead Sponsor of the Dignity Not Deportations legislation in the Massachusetts State House to join us, Senator Adam Gomez, and to hear songs by the Choir of First Parish in Cambridge led by Kenneth Griffith.

Roy Cooper for US Senate (NC)

North Carolina’s 2026 election will be the most competitive Senate election in the nation, and Roy Cooper is the only DEMOCRAT who can win.  He handily won the primary and now faces Republican Michael Whatley in November.

The Hill has called NC’s Senate seat the #1 most likely to flip next year, and Cook Political Report rates it a TOSS-UP. Republicans are poised to pour hundreds of millions into defeating us — and they’ve already courted RNC Chair Michael Whatley to run against Roy.

Sherrod Brown for US Senate (OH)

Primary is May 5th. In 2024, more than $250 million was spent against Sherrod Brown, making it the most expensive Senate race in history.

Sherrod is running for Senate again to stand up for workers and families, and to take on the corporate special interests that make it impossible for folks’ hard work to pay off. The system is rigged, and Sherrod is fighting to change that.

With corrupt special interests ready to spend whatever it takes to defeat Sherrod, he needs your critical support to fight back and win.

Mary Peltola for US Senate (AK)

Primary is August 18th. Mary is running for Senate because she’s lived firsthand how government is failing Alaskans.

It’s time for a new approach. Systemic change is the only way to bring down grocery costs, save our fisheries, lower energy prices, and build new housing Alaskans can afford. Systemic change is the only way to fill our homes with abundance again.

The fight for Fish, Family, Freedom depends on fixing the rigged system in DC. Will you become a founding donor today? We can’t do it without your help.

racial justice: peaceful presence needed in brockton court

January 30 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EST

This is an urgent call for community presence. We are sharing from our friends at the NAACP Cape Cod Branch.

“We are asking those who are able to attend the upcoming bail hearing regarding Alex Greene to stand in quiet, respectful support of the District Attorney’s position to have him returned to custody until his hearing.”

This murder happened in Hyannis, but this appeal has been moved out of district, as mentioned below. We are unsure if any leadership from our group can attend, but we know there will be a representative from the NAACP Cape Cod branch in attendance.

This case involves the most serious level of alleged violence and the loss of a life. Moments like this matter. Courtrooms do not exist in isolation — they serve the community — and it is important that the Court sees that the community is present, attentive, and deeply concerned about safety, accountability, and the integrity of the justice process.

Your presence helps demonstrate that this decision carries real impact beyond the courtroom walls.

This is a show of responsible, dignified community support for due process and public safety.

This an Indivisible event! A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
