Cindy Holscher for Kansas Governor

In 2016, Cindy was elected to the Kansas State House of Representatives, where she co-founded the Women’s Bipartisan Caucus and helped end the failed Brownback experiment, which drained billions from our schools. She worked to reverse school budget cuts, restore common sense to state finances, and put the Kansas economy back on track. In 2020, she ran for State Senate and won — defeating an extremist incumbent and becoming the only Democratic state senator to serve a Republican district.

Since then, Cindy has prioritized policies that solve problems for Kansas families. She has worked to fully fund public schools, rebuild our bridges and roads, and ensure that all Kansans have healthcare. She has helped make Kansas more affordable, too. Her efforts have lowered costs for Kansans by ending the food sales tax, removing the tax on Social Security, and implementing childcare tax credits.
